In fact, The New York Times said the trio "certainly
knows how to swing". As for Harry Allen, he is the "tenor

"Als
ich dabei war, mir über den Namen des Albums Gedanken zu machen
habe ich an diese Ära gedacht. Es gibt tatsächlich einen bestimmten
Song, ich weiß nicht genau, ob er von Benny Goodman geschrieben
ist - aber er heißt "A Smooth One", ein Stück, das jeder schon mal
gehört hat. Ich habe es zwar auf dem Album nicht gespielt, aber
ich dachte, daß der Titel einfach paßt. Weil die Musik eine solche
Atmosphäre hat, gleichzeitig beruhigend und intensiv - auf eine
sehr sanfte Art und Weise."
